The Twelve Apostles
This series of coastal rocks off Victoria, Australia has captured the fascination of thousands of photographers, painters and visitors. The route to the photo-spot is uninviting on many days, for the wind and rain. Don’t even try getting there on a rainy day. You’ll simply curse yourself and try to find another day on which you can visit again. The best time to photograph the rocks is 9 o’clock in the morning or just before sunset. It’s not easy to stay off the crowds during summer vacation, which runs from December through to end of January in Australia, which of course, is in the Southern Hemisphere.
